She’s talked about how she didn’t really know about the whitewashing issue at the time and has since apologized and said she wished she HADN’T taken the role, knowing what she does now. That’s…what she’s apologizing for here. Not knowing and making a mistake.

It’s still not great but it’s not like she did the ScarJo thing and doubled down on it or anything lol. She’s been sincerely apologetic since it was brought to her attention and, to my knowledge, has never defended it or tried anything like that again.

It’s still fine and fun to laugh and make jokes about her doing it but damn y'all really gotta let people learn from their mistakes and grow lol
